I have got the training bats twice so far.. always they are very good…
Have not opened or tried these yet but from the outside they look solid. A bit wider compared to other pads but weight seems similar. Construction seems sturdy.
Knocking service seems to have been done really well. We played for a couple of hours in the nets right after the bats arrived and did not see any indentations from the balls. The bats seem to have been oiled well and scuff sheets have been applied meticulously
My son loves his phantom shadow - as advertised it has exceptional pickup compared to bats of similar weight. He liked it in the nets and can’t wait to try it on his match today.
We ordered two bats, a PS7 for me and a junior shadow for my son (who is the better cricketer!)
Both bats arrived yesterday, look fantastic and we enjoyed using them in the nets last evening.
The bats are nearly identical in weight to our previous long-time bats, and yet feel noticeably lighter in pickup to both my son and me.
The service was great, Phantom were quite responsive within 24 hours to questions before and after the order. We had asked for the knocking service which seems to have been done well and the bats shipped well within their advertised timelines even with knocking.
The only minor issue is partly with UPS and not just phantom. The box arrived with so damage and although the bat phantom had double packed seems fine, the other one has a dent in the back. Hopefully it’ll turn out to just be cosmetic!
Fantastic middling bat/training aid; the usual 5 star Phantom quality and at a third-to-half the price of competitor’s - what’s not to like?
By far the best spikes I’ve used. Extremely well made, light on the feet, more than comfortable enough for all day wear, robust and protective areas that actually feel as if they offer protection. I bought these after a yorker broke two toes through a ‘protected’ toe-box on another, well-known, brand of shoe, but the wide box on these not only give my hobbit-feet room to spread naturally, they’re actually protected as well.
Slightly more expensive than other well known brands, but you can’t put a price on protection and comfort, so I’d highly recommend shelling out for these.
